I read a few articles recently about this Los Angeles songwriter Jim Sullivan who recorded one album(It didn’t sell, but is totally killer) in 1969, then in 1975 decided to leave LA and his family behind and drive to Nashville to try and further his music career. He got as far as New Mexico where his car and guitar were found on the sided of the road in the desert.
Oddly all the songs on his only album were about UFOs and the desert. Light in the Attic Records decided to print and release his album entiled “U.F.O.” this past November.
When I found out that his weekly gig was right down the street from where I’m currently living I got bit interested as I tend to do with anything local and underground-historic. I also recently toured alone and did that same drive, though unfortunately I was not abducted by aliens.
